I’m a writer, an educator, and a believer that we can do better for kids than we do today. I’ve been a public school teacher and a journalist, mostly about education. I serve on the communications team at the U.S. Department of Education, where I’m responsible for speechwriting and digital communications. Content here, however, reflects my own views only. I live in DC, miss California, am married to the incomparable Rachel Young, and will soon be a father. Find me on Twitter @jonathanschorr. I’ll be blogging here about ideas that are changing education for the better, and, from time to time, about the rest of life, meaning, mostly, barbecue. Until our kid is born, anyway.
