I spent part of last week doing one of the oddest, and most entertaining, parts of my job: accompanying three entrepreneurial teams around New York City as part of the Innovation Challenge, which we at NewSchools run in partnership with NBC and Citi. It’s part pitch contest, part reality show (though not in a bad way). The winner gets a lot of attention, as is the nature of a televised contest, but this year in particular I found myself so attached to all three ideas and teams that I wanted to point a small spotlight on the runners-up, ReadImagine and Pathbrite. These are intriguing and genuinely beautiful products that teachers and families will want to see. Read it on the NewSchools blog.
